Lakeshore Dutch Colonial | Coming soon

In 2020, Adams extensively renovated and designed an 1890’s Dutch colonial near Lake Michigan. The home and gardens were in need of a complete overhaul when Adams purchased the property. It was published in the October 2022 issue of Schumacher’s Frederic magazine.

Zingerman’s Cornman Farms

Zingerman’s Cornman Farms enlisted Michelle Adams and her colleague, Emily Schoen, to reimagine and redesign the interior of their historic farmhouse. Challenges included developing a unique and timeless look that feels relevant today, increasing functionality, creating instagrammable moments throughout to help the venue gain exposure, and ultimately increasing Cornman’s bookings. “The results and ROI were clear almost immediately,” says Liza Olympitis, Business Development Manager at Cornman Farms. “In the 5 months post redesign we booked 21 more events (than the previous 5 month period) and increased our sales number by 36%. Michelle worked with our founder to redesign each space with a purpose, unique sense of style and a photo worthy backdrop that would be true to our brand but also appealing to a broad demographic,” says Olympitis. Adams and Schoen's design was named one of "9 Bridal Suites You'll Want To Spend All Day In" by Brides, and was featured in Hour Detroit as well as an upcoming issue of Detroit Home Magazine.

MID-CENTURY MODERN

Embracing cleaner lines and a Scandinavian aesthetic, Adams renovated and designed a mid-century modern home in Ann Arbor. It was featured in the May 2021 issue of Better Homes & Gardens, as well as in a national ad campaign for California Closets.

ClarkLake Cottage

A lakeside cottage and guest house in which Adams designed the interiors and worked closely with the homeowner’s contractor to renovate and refresh.

Arbor Hills Primary Suite | Coming Soon

Primary suite in Ann Arbor, coming soon.

BURNS PARK COLONIAL

Adams’ first home, a 1920’s colonial revival in Ann Arbor. She worked closely with William Charles Custom Homes to renovate all three floors, adding a new kitchen and bathrooms, moldings throughout, French doors to a new patio, built-in bookshelves, a Carrara marble mantel and more. Adams handled all interior design, fixture and finish selections, and upon completion her home was featured in print in House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens, Midwest Living, Detroit Home Magazine, Hour Detroit, and Seen Magazine, and online at Vogue Living, Gardenista, One Kings Lane, The Everygirl, and more. A 3-D tour is available here.

Basement Gym

Inspired by a hotel gym Adams spotted in Paris, she transformed a typical low ceiling Michigan basement into a spa-like retreat. Adams sourced all building materials and lighting from Home Depot. Her design was featured on Fox News and The Everygirl.

Manhattan High rise

To help soften the hard lines of this Midtown West high rise apartment, Adams opted for a soothing palette, upholstered furnishings, varying textures and layers. Low sofas maximize views while a bed canopy creates a sense of calm and privacy.

Carroll Gardens Brownstone

To celebrate the launch of Restoration Hardware's expanded Big Style Small Spaces™ collection, Adams partnered with the brand to showcase its new smaller-scale pieces in the context of a real home. Using Restoration Hardware products, Adams designed a Brooklyn brownstone apartment for a young couple that merged their styles as well as maximized their space. The feature was published as Lonny's November 2012 cover story, and quickly became one of the most popular features on Lonny.com.

Canyon Ranch MIami Beach Condo

Hired to breathe life into a newly constructed Miami condo, Adams designed the space as a nod to the area’s Art Deco roots, and her client’s penchant for statement-making pieces. Reflective surfaces help maximize light throughout, while lush textiles soften and define the space.

east harlem apartment

Designed in 2008 in the popular Hollywood Regency style, Adams decorated her first New York apartment with a playful mix of vintage finds and fabrics from her own sustainable soft goods company, Rubie Green. Her home was published in the book Design*Sponge At Home, as well as in print in Real Living.
